Raines Brothers, Inc. was started as a partnership in 1955 when O.H. ‘Doc’ and Stanley Raines bought the assets of Smith Brothers Construction Company, started in 1916.  The firm performs most of its work around the Chattanooga area, while also venturing out to other areas when requested to do so by its customers.  Currently the firm is licensed or permitted to perform work in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. 

Over the years, Raines Brothers has built and/or renovated many of the places where people work, worship, live, learn and play.  Our employees are dedicated to working hard at providing our customers with added value and developing long lasting relationships.  We successfully complete our projects by working within a value system that demands fairness and integrity, and we strive to meet our customers expectations.

We have completed new construction or renovation projects for many different customers in various markets including Education, Government, Commercial, Residential, Religion, Retail, Health Care, Restaurant, Manufacturing, Entertainment, and Financial Services.  In addition to providing Construction Services, our range of project services include Design, Construction Feasibility Reviews, Design Input, Value Engineering, Total Project Budgeting, Scheduling, Safety Management, and Project Management.  In addition to working as a General Contractor, we have also worked as a Construction Manager and we have performed many projects through the Design-Build process.
